As with all medical research, time and costs always grow. Right now, we have far exceeded our initial goal of raising $250K, when we started the foundation in May 2022, and had only hoped to explore current medications available on the market, and their effects on DLG4 mutations and related pathways in order to improve outcomes for individuals with DLG4. We were quickly introduced to so many different scientists exploring treatments at the RNA and DNA levels as well, and our research focus has expanded beyond small molecules to include these gene therapy/editing approaches. $380,000 of the amount we have raised is already allocated to various projects with several other projects with quotes in progress (please see where you money is going on the treatment page). Unfortunately, grant cycles are slow, but we hope to keep our research progress moving with your help! Help us pave the way toward a treatment for DLG4 for kids like Harvey, today!
